I have known people who were here for more than a decade , but doesn’t know how to sya one sentence in the English language.There was this one time that a woman told me that I have to learn spanish so that I can understand her.( am I the only one who finds this bizzare?).Why is it difficult?Im not trying to offend anyone, but Im just wondering.
THERE ARE WORDS IN FRENCH THAT CANNOT BE TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH…THAT DIDN’T KEEP ME FROM BEINF FLUENT IN ENGLISH…( THIS IS FOR THE PERSON WHO MADE A COMMENTABOUT THE TRANSLATION OF WORDS/SENTENCES)

EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO SPEAK IN SLANG, THAT DOES NOT STAND IN THE WAY OF ME SPEKAING ENGLISH PROPERLY.I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE TALK SLANG ON TV, IN SCHOOL, IN PUBLIC,..EVERYWHERE..I HAVE NEVER SPOKEN SLANG BEFORE…SO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING??? WHAT ABOUT THE GREAT PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO DO NOT SPEAK SLANG??? HOW DID THEY DO IT???

II know tons of people have already asked this question. From what I gathered most people said that emersing yourself in spanish is helpfull. I don’t have any friends near me that speak good spanish so besides t.v. and music the only way I learn is with my cd set and Spanish book. Any tips or ways that you have learned spanish would help.
