Best Spanish Learning Software

Practice practice practice. The more you speak with your friends the better you will get. You have to constantly look up new words, ask them for advice, and brush up your grammar. If you only learned the basics, then you missed out on a lot of learning. 1-3 months? Try 3-4 years. You won't be fluent in less time. You have so many tenses and words to learn. It's not just memorizing words, it's learning and applying grammar. You haven't even dipped into the subjunctive pool yet, that will take you a few months to master, too.
Spanish is one of the easiest languages for English speakers to learn, but it's still a completely different language with it's own rules of grammar that don't even apply to English. It's hard, especially without schooling discipline. Just converse with your friends and try to immerse yourself in it (reading Spanish books, Spanish television, using Spanish when you think, etc.)

It's well worth it. You just have to be willing to really apply yourself to it or else it won't work. It will take a lot of time and dedication.

1 in 4? Not in most areas. For example, there are very few Spanish speakers in my area who don't speak English.

Having bilingual officers (in a variety of languages) is a good investment.

Learn Spanish Verb

If you really want to sit through trying to learn 100s of verb conjugations, get a book and maybe an electronic verb conjugator. However, this is the hard way for an adult to learn Spanish. The easy way is to forget conjugations and take a Spanish conversation course, in time, you will learn how to conjugate automatically. This is how you learned English as a child, through listening to conversations and repeating and trying to talk. Think Spanish online magazine is a HUGE help with reading, listening, and apply Spanish as well.
