Okay Im a junior in high school and Im currently in my 2nd year of honors spanish. I thought it was extremely easy last year and I had the highest average out of anyone, a 103 for the whole year. So far this year in spanish 2, I have a 103 for the year too. This year, it is more challenging because we’ve so far learned 10 of the 14 verb tenses. I enjoy spanish and would love to learn to speak it fluently. I plan on taking spanish 3 ap next year where I will have to read harry potter in spanish along with some other novels. I actually enjoy spanish and I can translate it extremely quickly in my head. However, when it comes to speaking it, it takes me a long time to conjugate the verbs in my head unless im using the present tense. in that case, i can speak it pretty quickly. anyways, for those of you who spak english or any other language as a first language and learned spanish, how long did it take you to be able to learn it and speak it fluently? was it worth it? do you use it now? also, kind of off topic, but does anyone have a good way of helping me remember what verb tenses end in what and what the irregulars are… i seem to have a hard time with that, especially with preterite and imperfect. thanks all who help!
