speaking spanish?

im from colombia. BUT i rarely speak spanish except on the rare occasion when i with my uncle or something. i never had to worry about it but im going to colombia this year and i have to speak it with my family. i know words in spanish and i know how to read spanish but when i speak it, it sounds horrible. how do i improve my speaking and get rid of the embarrasment to speaking spanish?

Or, do what I did. Get some note cards, and place them all around your house. I did the for japanese by the way.
Now, say you have it at the stairs. On the card it will say the english word. You have to say it in spanish. have these cards everywhere around the house. and the words you might be having a hard time with, put those where you most frequently go.
Over time it will be natural. but I just love having them all of the house.
