I want to learn to speak spanish. But the software I am asked to buy asks if I want the Spain or Latin America version. Is the Latin American version the same version spoken in the U.S.

Actually Ibeleive the Spain one is actually the proper one. However Latin American is mostyl spoken here. They are the same. It’s like the way Brit’s talk vrs the Americans. All the same. But I like Latin American better.

I believe the vast majority of the Spanish speakers in the US are Latin American type Spanish. Very rarely do you hear Castilan Spanish. Even the media (Spanish TV , radio) are Latin American type. Yes you would sound different .
