Maybe Chinese is not the easiest, but I still prefer to learn Mandarin Chinese, because it is the language which sounds nice, it is the language which is spoken by most people. It is the language, which has potential to influence the future.

Learn Spanish. Then Italian and French will be easy. German and Russian much more difficult. There are more Spanish speakers than speakers of your other languages, too, so Spanish is very useful.

Oh I don’t know, I found Russian to be quite easy! But then again, I was also enjoying myself tremendously learning it.

And I found French to be absolutely sinister. But perhaps because the teacher was a 60 year old Madmoiselle from hell.

So I guess it mostly depends on how you plan on learning. You will learn “effortlessly” if you are having fun and enjoying it. You will suffer if you are not.

SPANISH

Most people will say Spanish. Spanish, French and Italian are all romance languages whereas German, Dutch and English are sort of Germanic, so you might find German easier.

But don’t learn a language because it is easy. Learn it because you enjoy it! You won’t learn or pick anything up if you do a language that doesn’t interest you!

It seems very bizarre to learn a language just because it is easy without attention to function .Anyway i recommend french.

I think most people would say definitely NOT Russian.

The others are probably similarly easy depending on your ear for languages. English is a Germanic language, so there are many similarities to German esp. in structure.

I would not say Spanish is easier than Italian or French and suspect that the people that say that have a certain affinity for the language i.e. started learning it at an early age and have a nostalgia for their early classroom experiences.

Why not have a listen to people speaking those languages & see which sounds the most attractive to your ear, or find out who has the best-looking teacher? Seriously this will help you more than you think.
